Christmas Magic at Disney Resorts
The magic of Christmas takes over Disney Resorts. I would expect nothing less when spending the holidays at the most magical place on Earth. Take time to roam the resorts and see what each has to offer!
Head over to the Grand Floridian to step into a Victorian age Christmas. You can buy cookies out of a real life size gingerbread house! Check out the ingredients that go into making this house! Once completed, after months of preparation, there are adorable hidden images all over the gingerbread house of your favorite characters and movies!
Have you ever thought of a gingerbread carousel that actually rotates? I didn't until I visited Disney's Beach Club Resort. Beautiful sugar and chocolate horses rotate on a gingerbread dream. See if you can find the hidden characters!
We all know Florida can be hot, even in December. Why not treat yourself to ice cream? Disney's BoardWalk Inn brings you a life size gingerbread concession stand so you can get a sweet treat the coolest way.
Do you have Frozen fever?! Take a look at the Disney's Contemporary Resort's Frozen gingerbread castle. You can see all of your favorite Frozen friends take gingerbread form!
The Disney Yacht Club Resort creates an edible train and village. You can even find a mountain range made of Rock Candy!
Gingerbread isn't the only way Disney brings Christmas magic to you. Enormous Christmas trees inspired by each resorts' theme stand proudly in the lobbies. The trees make for a breathtaking background for photos! Poinsettias, topiaries, Christmas decor surrounds you in their own ways at each resort.
The magic isn't only found in what you see but also in what you hear around you. The orchestra at the Grand Floridian Resort plays every night for their guests and visitors. If you want to relax at the Belle Vue Lounge at the BoardWalk Inn, you will be treated to old-time radio shows. During the Christmas season expect to hear some well known and maybe some not well know Christmas stories.
Perhaps you want to enjoy being outside in December without the bitter cold. If so, you can explore the Campground Sites at Disney's Fort Wilderness. Guests decorate their sites, some more elaborate than others, and it makes for an entertaining evening to see guest creations. You can also take a festive horse-drawn sleigh ride near The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness.
No matter what resort you stay at or visit on your Disney Christmas vacation, you will find magic and festivities wherever you go! Remember these fun activities and treats are available to anyone visiting Walt Disney World.
