Hurricane Matthew Causes Closures and Cancellations

Hurricane Matthew Causes Closures and Cancellations

The Walt Disney Company announced today that all Walt Disney World Parks, water parks, Disney Springs, miniature golf courses and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will be closing today October 6th, 2016 at 5:00pm and will remain closed all day on Friday October 7th.  The Mickey's Not-so-Scary Halloween Party will be canceled for October 7th, 2016.  The closures are done out of an abundance of caution due to Hurricane Matthew for the guests' and cast members' safety and well being.

Yesterday October 5th, 2016 cast members had begun the "tie-down" process of the parks and resorts.

Orlando International Airport (MCO) will be closed at 8:00pm to all commercial flights beginning Thursday October 6th, 2016.  Several flights have already been delayed or canceled due to Hurricane Matthew, so be sure to regularly check your flight status.
