Magic Band Upgrades For Fastpass+
"This is the most hugest news!" April 10th will begin major changes to Fastpass+ on Walt Disney World's Magic Bands!
Traditionally guests had to make 3 Fastpass+ reservations on My Disney Experience. No more, no less. Now guests will no longer be required to choose 3 reservations, but instead can make 1-3 reservations on My Disney Experience prior to their Disney World vacation. This allows guests to leave a spot or two open and perhaps be more spontaneous with their day rather than scheduled. It also allows a free spot to be open in case guests are waiting for that spot on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train to open up, or snag that opportunity to meet Anna and Elsa without needing to cancel another Fastpass+ reservation. Instead guests can just fill in the blank opening.
The next change is one I am sure guests will love! Once the guest uses their 3 Fastpass+ reservations for the day, they no longer have to wait in line at the Fastpass Kiosk to book their additional Fastpass+ reservations. Starting April 10th, further FP+ reservations can be made 1 at a time from My Disney Experience. Remember you must use the first 3 FP+ reservations first and it's rumored that the additional Fastpass+ reservations can be made at another park if the guest would like to park hop that day!
The last new feature is the guest ability to cancel once Fastpass+ reservation instead of needing to cancel an entire party then "re-reserving". If one or two people in a party decide to not use a Fastpass+ reservation and would like to reserve a different one, guests can now have the option to do so from the My Disney Experience app, online, or in person.
If you plan on visiting Walt Disney World after April 10th, expect to see some changes to the My Disney Experience App and Kiosk locations.
What do you think of these changes? Do you have any other suggestions for Walt Disney World Fastpass+?
