Celebrate 50 years of Pirates of the Caribbean
March 18, 1967 Disneyland brought to us a group of scallywags and some really bad eggs when Pirates of the Caribbean opened. This iconic attraction has inspired the hit movies and have sailed from Disneyland in Anaheim California, Walt Disney World Florida, Disneyland Tokyo, Disneyland Paris, and has docked most recently at Disneyland Shanghai. Needless to say this attraction has a cult following and is truly inspiring to the Walt Disney Company.
Celebrate Pirates of the Caribbean this weekend at Disneyland Resort. Beginning on Thursday, March 16, guests can snag special pirate-themed cuisine at French Market Restaurant, Mint Julep Bar, Harbour Galley, Royal Street Verandah, Cafe Orleans, and my person favorite Blue Bayou! You can even get a golden churro! That's some rare treasure.
There will also be limited edition pins and shirts sold through out Disneyland including the new "I was there" collection! Guests can reminisce about the grand opening.
The treasure all guests are trying to get their hands on is the coveted Pirates of the Caribbean commemorative stein!
What is your favorite memory of Pirates of the Caribbean? Will you be taking part of the celebration?!
